The story of the Hotel Biodola is made of love and passion for nature: the love and passion that has inextricably linked the De Ferrari couple to the Biodola bay since the 1950s.
To preserve the physiognomy, flora and fauna of this magnificent part of Elba - the only one where the rare Biodolo plant grows - the engineer. Paolo De Ferrari and his wife Ileana decided to acquire all the land surrounding the beach and to create a new hotel with full respect for the environment.

It is here that the Hotel Biodola was inaugurated at the end of 1973, first a simple bed and breakfast, then a 4-star hotel characterized by high quality services and cuisine inspired by Tuscan flavors and the great Italian school.

At the same time the hydrogeological reorganization of the park was completed and the private golf course was built, initially with 6 holes and later with 9 regulation holes.

Today, in the hotel garden, the white flowers of the Biodolo still grow, cared for by our staff with the same attention as Donna Ileana.
