Our Piller Roner-Benedetti family has its roots in Sappada, where it has managed hotel facilities since 1840 when our ancestor built the first tavern with rooms in Cima Sappada, called La Pace. Subsequently, in 1923 the construction of the Alle Alpi hotel began, also in Cima Sappada, opened in 1928 by our great-grandfather. The management of this hotel was then succeeded by grandfather Luigi (Gigi) and then by his daughter Mariarosa.
The history of Haus Michaela begins in 1979, when Giorgio and Mariarosa, the parents of the current owner Fabrizio, transformed a private house into a hotel. Subsequently, continuous expansions and improvements have made Hotel Haus Michaela a first-class hotel in the Piave valley.
The Hotel Haus Michaela is located in a quiet but central position in Sappada, surrounded by a 10,000 m² garden, surrounded by the fascinating alpine landscape of the Dolomites. Winter sports enthusiasts will particularly appreciate the privileged position of our hotel, a world of fascinating possibilities opens up just a few steps from us: the cross-country stadium, Sappada 2000 chair lift, Pian dei Nidi chair lift, the train/ski bus stop ( free) to and from Nevelandia. The Hotel is the ideal starting point for splendid itineraries and excursions in the Dolomites.
The hotel offers its guests large areas with lounges with typical Tyrolean majolica stove, bar, small library, TV room, games room for children with entertainment service, relaxation lounge, conference/meeting room with mega projection screen film, covered terrace (winter garden) on the cross-country ski run. The hotel is equipped with a lift, underground and heated garage, large outdoor parking with video surveillance, mountain bike/E Bike rental agreement, Wi-Fi connection throughout the entire hotel.
The hotel restaurant offers delicious menus in a refined and welcoming environment with a panoramic view of the Dolomites. The high-level cuisine, varied and refined, and the attentive service with attention to the smallest details have always been part of the hospitality tradition of our hotel.
